At XPolice Hamilton, we don’t just fight traffic tickets—we also provide convenient Notary Public and Commissioner of Oaths services through Vizinho Legal Services LLP.

Whether you need a signature witnessed, an affidavit commissioned, or a certified copy of a document, we’ll make the process easy and professional.

Here are some of the most common documents we notarize or commission:

• Sworn statements for name changes, lost property, or identification

To help you prepare for your appointment, please bring:

• Two pieces of valid ID, including one government-issued photo ID
• The document to be signed (do not sign it in advance)
• Any instructions from the organization requiring the document (e.g. government forms, court paperwork)
   

We'll also ask you to complete a short intake form upon arrival.

Standard Notary/Commissioning Service

• $60 for the first document
• $10 for each additional document signed or stamped during the same appointment
   

Payment accepted by cash, e-transfer, or debit.
Prices are subject to change without notice.

Discounted rates may be available for multiple documents or repeat clients—just ask when booking. 

Appointments are available Monday to Friday and some Saturdays by request. Same-day or next-day appointments are often available.

• Identification Required
  All clients must present valid, original, government-issued photo identification. Expired, altered, or photocopied ID will not be accepted.
   
• Right to Refuse Service
  The Notary reserves the right to refuse service if proper identification is not provided, if the document appears incomplete, suspicious, or outside the scope of notarial authority, or if there are concerns about the client's understanding, willingness, or capacity to sign.
   
• No Legal Advice Provided
  Notarial and commissioning services do not include legal advice. We do not review the content of documents for legal accuracy or suitability. Clients are responsible for ensuring the document meets the requirements of the receiving party.
   
• Payment Required Before Completion
  Full payment is required prior to the completion of any notarization or commissioning. We reserve the right to withhold final signatures or seals until payment is made.
   
• Out-of-Province or International Use
  Notarized documents may be used across Canada and internationally. However, it is the client’s responsibility to confirm whether additional steps such as authentication or legalization are required. We do not offer authentication or apostille services.
   
• Compliance With Applicable Law
  All services are provided in accordance with the Notaries Act, the Commissioners for Taking Affidavits Act, and all other applicable laws and regulations governing the duties and responsibilities of notaries and commissioners in Ontario.
