What to Bring

Same-day urgent requests cannot be booked online. Online bookings require at least 12 hours’ notice.

Identification Required
All clients must present valid, original, government-issued photo identification to access our notary services in Hamilton. Expired, altered, or photocopied ID will not be accepted.
Right to Refuse Service
The Commissioner of Oaths reserves the right to refuse service if proper identification is not provided, if the document appears incomplete, suspicious, or outside the scope of notarial authority, or if there are concerns about the client's understanding, willingness, or capacity to sign.

Our notary services, including document notarization and commissioning, do not include legal advice. We do not review the content of documents for legal accuracy or suitability. Clients are responsible for ensuring the document meets the requirements of the receiving party.
Payment Required Before Completion
Full payment is required prior to the completion of any notarization or commissioning. We reserve the right to withhold final signatures or seals until payment is made.
Out-of-Province or International Use
Notarized documents may be used across Canada and internationally. However, it is the client’s responsibility to confirm whether additional steps such as authentication or legalization are required. We do not offer authentication or apostille services.
